| Union officials who hold a current valid permit have a right to enter your workplace for specifically defined purposes under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). These may be for the purpose of: | ||
| • | investigating a suspected breach of federal workplace laws; | |
| • | investigating suspected breaches relating to outworkers in the textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) industry; | |
| • | holding discussions with employees; and | |
| • | exercising rights under state/territorial work health and safety (WHS) laws, including to consult and advise relevant workers on work health and safety matters and to inquire into a suspected breach of WHS laws. | |
