Modern Slavery Bill 2018 (Cth)
The Modern Slavery Bill 2018 (Cth) (the Bill) was introduced to the Federal Parliament on 28 June 2018. It has passed through the Lower House and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) (the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act) is expected to be passed by the end of 2018.
The Bill provides that all entities subject to the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act must prepare a modern slavery statement. Related entities may submit a joint modern slavery statement under s 14 of the Bill.
