Checklist for Staff training on data protection compliance

Introductory note:
This checklist aids an organisation on how to train staff on data protection security compliance. It covers the main responsibilities an employee should be aware of when using company technologies, network systems and data.

How to use this checklist:
This checklist is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Different organisations will have unique risks, threats and vulnerabilities, and will implement their staff training strategy with differing priorities. Instead this checklist is designed to be a guideline for organisations to follow to ensure staff have an understanding of the difference aspects of data protection security and how they can put in place good data security compliance practices.
It is also important to bear in mind that while risk can be reduced, the possibility of a breach cannot be eliminated entirely.

Other notes:
The guideline is a living document and will continue to be updated as new threats, risks, and solutions arise.
